Timeline
3 weeks
Year
2022
Challenge:
Confront organizational problems based on these Harvard Business Review papers with a design mindset, and hone critical skills. Work in a team who may share different views of the world and how to respond to challenges. Assume that your reply is the organization's board of directors.
Solution
Research and analysis, persuasion, and presentation on three case studies following different learnings and strategies to propose suitable outcomes. All case studies are layered and proposed using different strategies.
Process
The case studies are a work of fiction published by the Harvard Business Review. We analyzed 3 case studies in 3 weeks and made presentations and made strategies to answer the question. The final presentation was a collation of all three case studies and was pitched to a imaginary board of directors.
Case Study 1
Would Vegan offerings dilute our brand?
Case Study 2
Should Ivory Tower embrace cryptocurrency?
Case Study 3
Should We Compromise Our Founding Principles for
Faster Growth?
Final Presentation
Pitch to the Board of Directors using strategies.
Case Study 1
Question to solve: Would Vegan offerings dilute our brand?

Company Name: Protein Power Plates
Company's Mission: To become the best meat fast food chain.
What we want to change: Introduce vegan offerings to the menu.
"
No,
it will not dilute the brand if we employ the right strategy.
We took a deep dive into the pros and cons if vegan offerings could dilute the brand (Protein Power Plates). The analysis included the readings related to the week's specified module which we as a team applied to find out the various possibilities. We proposed a strategy as to how to incorporate vegan on the menu.

Case Study 2
Question to solve: Should we embrace cryptocurrency?
Company Name: Ivory Tower
Company's Mission: To accept and make transactions in cryptocurrency.
What we want to change: To start investing but should not transact.
"
Yes,
but for investment and not for payments.
After research on the cryptocurrency market and with more people investing in it we suggested that Ivory Tower should invest in cryptocurrency rather than transact in it as there is still unawareness as to how cryptocurrency and blockchains work amongst the masses. However, investing would help Ivory Tower allocate a part of its cash in reserves and experiment as to how do the fair in the market for an initial start.

Case Study 3
Question to solve: Should we compromise our founding principles for faster growth?

Company Name: Zevoron
Company's Mission: To expand their frontline workers.
What we want to change: We want the company to evolve their principles rather than compromise them.
"
No,
they should evolve it.
After investigation and research over the readings we reframed the question as to how the founding principles should evolve rather than be compromised. We closely followed the principles laid down by John Kotter in his book Leading Change. We believe we should focus on creating an inclusive space for both cisgender and transgender employees.
